Our Costco History

Manchester Farms is the leading producer of quail eggs in America. Now you can find them in Costco. We recently helped rollout a 36 count Quail Egg pack into the San Diego Region. 

These eggs appear small but pack powerful nutrition as they are one of the only food product to offer a complete amino acid complex...and they offer 80% more vitamin B than chicken eggs. They are richer tasting than chicken eggs because of the higher yolk to white ratio.  Delicious in omelets, hard boiled and raw over your favorite sushi.

Quail Eggs are 3 to 4 times the nutritional value of regular chicken eggs, they contain 5 times the iron and potassium of chicken eggs, they are known to prevent symptoms associated with allergies, hay fever, and sinusitis, they improve digestion, immune system function, and detoxification, and they are considered a delicacy in many countries, including western Europe and North America.

Cattle Drive celebrates its 20th year of being the exclusive chili for Costco.  Not many products stay around that long, particularly in Costco.  Good trial through demoing and having a terrific buttery chili tasting product has won over the hearts and taste buds of Costco members.

Bill Bailey’s introduces it’s new case holder for product in the deli. Quickly recognizable, these bright cases are known for their durability as well as their exceptional display quality

Tiramisu is back!

Kings PastryCostco will be offering their Tiramisu Bar Cake again in the Costco bakery section for the holiday season.

Great for that special holiday occasion, or just a treat for yourself, this delicious Tiramisu Bar Cake is a go to favorite.

King's pastry Mooncakes are a favorite for the Asian Moon Festival.

Cattle Drive is a top seller in Hawaii. Great pallet presentation. Hawaiian's also love Bill Bailey's Corned Beef and Santa Maria Tri Tips. I especially love going to the buildings in Hawaii to catch their fresh poke.

Tequila Bar at Burning Man Sales Meeting. Here's Kirk and I at Burning Man 2018, themed “I, Robot”. Our Freak Camp serves fellow burners a chilled shot of Horitos Tequila on Thursday nights. Tastes pretty good, especially when the temperature is over 100 degrees in a dust blizzard.

Introducing pre marinated Bill Bailey's Shwarma Chicken. This delicious mediterreanean flavor translates perfectly to Bill Bailey's special butterfly cut chicken.

Pete heads to Taiwan for the Taipei Food Show along with King's Pastry's Kevin Chan. Saw lots of exciting products and cakes and were taught how to make specialty cookies by a local baker. Some fun pictures at Costco.

Introducing ALl Natural White Breast Meat Chicken Chili. This red sauce chicken chili is the best yet as it's made from All Natural ingredients.

Results visited the newest Costco in Santa Maria, California. Pete Burke went to Santa Maria Costco. Great facility with some very interesting items. Santa Maria is the town known for their famous Tri Tips.

Santa Maria-style barbecue centers around a beef tri-tip, seasoned with black pepper, salt, and garlic salt befoe grilling over coals of native coast live oak, often referred to as ‘red oak’ wood. The grill is made of iron and usually has a hand crank that lifts or lowers the grill over the coals to the desired distance from the heat. The Santa Maria Valley is often rather windy, so the style of cooking is over an oxidative fire as opposed to a reductive fire that many covered BBQs use.

And, it would definitely not be a sin to add a nice cocktail of the $5,999.99 Patron tequila, or, maybe pick up a nice portable griller to take your BBQ’s on the road - both items available at Santa Maria Costco’s.

Pete Burke, the dauntless food warrior, fearlessly explores the world for competitive chili products. Here he is at Skyline Chili in Cincinnati, Ohio checking out Skyline Chili’s world famous chili spaghetti with a chili hot dog plus loads of cheese topping. Pete’s verdict? Good and filling. But not up to Pete’s favorite, Cattle Drive Chili.

Results introduces another Fortune Avenue product - the Korean-style entree, the Bibimbap bowl.

Results‘s Pete Burke with BumbleBee Vice President David Burt outside Ketchikan, Alaska. BumbleBee Foods invited Pete for some first hand experience learning about salmon and halibut at the Steamboat Bay Fishing Club.

Results‘s Pete Burke headed south of the border to the Cabo San Lucas Costco for supplies. Beautiful views from the store as you can see Cabo’s famous Lovers’ Arch (most southern point of the Baja) from the food service tables. Great building with great values.

Results introduces a new product from Fortune Avenue Foods, Chicken and Vegetable Wonton Soup.

Fortune Avenue Foods was started in 1989 in Walnut, California with the idea of making frozen dumplings and potstickers for Southern California supermarkets.

Since then, their products have been well received by consumers throughout America.

Best Mustard in the world - It’s Colman’s from England and it’s…very warm, maybe hot, no, very hot - great with your ham sandwiches! Skip and Dione Cooley representing Cattle Drive Chili at the International Chili Society World Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada. Skip and Dione are considered “Master Chefs” by the ICS having participated in the World Championships over 20 times. They have together won over 170 individual chili cooking contests. They know Chili and the love Cattle Drive!

Results Always on the alert for new items, Pete Burke visited Hong Kong in September seeking out both the back alleys and the finest of hotels for new food ideas and products.

Here are a few pics of “High Tea” at Hong Kong’s famous Peninsula Hotel as well as some local market favorites. New items are always in demand at the Clubs! The 2015 Hong Kong Food Expo is in August this coming year and Pete is already practicing his chop stick etiquette in preparation for sampling all varieties of Chinese cuisine.

Results began working with King’s Pasty, a major player in the premium bakery products industry. King’s Pastry recently relocated to a brand new state-of-the-art facility occupying over 120,000 square feet in the heart of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

King’s Pastry’s manufacturing plant features the markets most technologically advanced machineries including the Super Silo System and the Auto Tunnel Ovens Production line, both of which are European designed and purchased equipment.

Result’s Pete and Jack hit the Natural Foods Expo again this March 6th to the 9th in Anaheim, California. But after walking the 10 miles to cover all the entire show, we opted for this transportation to get back to the car. Glad we did. Exciting stuff, and we discovered some new food trends that will be coming to a Costco near you soon.

Results and One Team Humanity Foods, Inc. team up to introduce Nut burgers are the Gourmet Non-Meat Cuisine for Carnivores, Gluten Free Eaters, Vegans, Little Ones, and Vegetarians alike.

Results is now working with Giuliano’s Speciality Foods, a family owned and operated business since 1959.

With a state of the art facility located in Garden Grove, California, Giuliano’s Specialty Foods manufactures pickled peppers, vegetables, and olives.

Results likes pretzels! Results has been working with Hanover Foods to develop the first club organic Ancient Grain Pretzel. Look for Hanover Ancient Grain Pretzels to be introduced in clubs in 2014. And Results is working with Pretzel Perfection to introduce Salted Caramel Clusters, with Caramel, Sea Sale and Dark Chocolate to club stores. Coming to a club store near you in 2014.

Results at the Natural Foods Show in Anaheim, CA. Jack and Pete visited the Show to observe ongoing trends, explore potential new clients and visited our current clients, including a long time favorite, Mutual Trading.

White Bean Chicken Chili - Made with milk, parmesan cheese, jalapeno peppers and big chunks of white breast meat chicken, this new product from Cattle Drive will please chili lovers. Designed by chili experts, a bowl of this product will stimulate taste buds and provide a satisfying meal.

Irish Bangers - Costco purchased the Bill Bailey's Irish Bangers product just in time for St. Patrick's Day celebrations.

This traditional Irish favorite, often paired with mashed potatoes as "Bangers and Mash", was made with just the right sweetness to win over the hearts of Costco members.

Pete Judges in the World's Food Championships in Las Vegas. Pete met up with Skip and Dionne Cooley who were cooking in the chili events. As International Chili Society Grandmasters, both Skip and Dionne consult on Cattle Drive Chili recipes and continue to excel in winning chili cook-offs.

Boscoli Italian Olive Salad - Results introduced this Muffaletta sandwich condiment to Costco Texas members. They love the fact that this delicious mix of olives, cauliflower, carrots, celery, capers, peppers and other ingredients and spices goes great with everything - salads, pizzas, side dishes and toppings on crackers. Boscoli is a local Kenner, LA company that celebrates the New Orleans love of food.

Bill Bailey's Applewood Bacon Wrapped Beef Filet: Introduced in 2012, Bill Bailey's Applewood Bacon Wrapped Beef Filet is Square-H Brands first foray into the freezer section with this terrific center of the plate dish.

Results is introducing this winter the New Cattle Drive Chicken Chili - now with Sea Salt and made with 100% chicken breast meat, two kinds of beans, multiple peppers and onions.

The New Cattle Drive Chicken Chili now has 17% less sodium than the previous Cattle Drive Chicken Chili.

Results at the Costco Los Angeles Children’s Hospital Charity Event.

Jack, Nancy, and Pete man the 16th hole sampling station. This is our 10th year of sampling Bill Bailey’s Tri Tips at the Costco Los Angeles Children’s Hospital Charity Event at the Coto De Caza Country Club.. Over 180 sandwiches were served along with adult refreshment and many friendly words exchanged over this great event. Thanks to Henry Haskell and Square H Brands for another great event.

Great display of Soy Vay in all Costco stores throughout the Western Region during the Summer of 2010. Soy Vay is regularly named the best seasoning sauce by Men’s Health and other publications.

Results introduced a new item to Costco stores in the Northeast: Hanover Kidney Beans. Hanover Foods Corporation is the top producer of kidney beans in the country and the largest independently owned food processor in the eastern United States.

Results introduced Cattle Drive Baked Beans in Costco stores across the country. Now available in 8-pack cartons of Cattle Drive Baked Beans.

Results purchased all materials seen here and executed a 4 day Labor Day Outdoor Roadshow Event in just a ten day period. We cooked up over 300 Bill Bailey's Santa Maria Tri Tip over the weekend serving up close to 15,000 samples. Did we mention it was 102 degrees! The event was declared an overwhelming success and opened the doors for more sales!

Bill Bailey’s Tri Tip Sampling Event at Costco in Chico, CA. Bill Bailey’s Tuscan Tri Tips are being grilled right outside the Costco entrance to the delight of incoming members.

The Costco team went out of their way to make this event a super seller. It was next to impossible to not want to sample and buy the tri tips first thing inside the entrance.

Results introduces Bill Bailey's Tuscan Tri Tips into Costco. Square H Brands introduced Tuscan Tri Tip into the marketplace allowing consumers either a great baking or grilling experience. Bill Bailey's Tuscan Tri Tip cooks up quickly and easily while offering the great Tuscany flavors of basil, thyme and olive oil. It was a Super Bowl hit.

Pete travels back to Tokyo to catch up on the latest foods and findings in Tokyo. He saw $80 cantaloupes, $200 pack of Strawberries and $200 cuts of beef in the Isetan Department Store and unique items across the city. The Costco is quite a ways from the city and requires at least a couple of transfers on the Japanese Railroad. It is impressive to shop there in contrast to the kiosk oriented selling in most of Tokyo. Call us up and we'll be happy to fill you in on the details.

Jack and Pete toured the Natural Foods Show in Anaheim, CA March 24th. We saw Michael Renna of Michael Angelo's, Mutual Trading Inc., The Green Mountain Salsa Boys and many other interesting products and folks.

And, No, I'm not cruising in California's Central Valley (which provides 25% of all the food America eats), I'm at the Stanislaus Food Products booth at Las Vegas's Pizza Expo.

There’s nothing like a new product end cap at Costco’s. New client Bove’s of Vermont Pasta Sauces rolled out in the Northeast with a three pack of Roasted Garlic and Marinas. Bove’s uses only all natural ingredients in all sauces. Each batch carefully sautes its garlic and onions in the three hour cooking process. The taste is divine.

Barkeepers Friend joins Results. Barkeeper's Friend, the safest, most trusted and the most recommended cleaner by kitchen hardware manufacturers for being easier on pots and pans is sure tough on rust.

I brought my trusty shovel into work and applied Comet to one side and Barkeeper's Friend to the other. It's easy to see how well Barkeeper's Friend performs!

Results again served up about 150 delicious Bill Bailey's Anaheim Chili, Cilantro and Onion Tri Tip sandwiches for the Los Angeles Costco Children's Miracle Network Charity Golfing Event.

Grab a Bill Bailey’s Santa Maria Tri Tip Sandwich (dipped in au jus) at the 16th hole of the North Course in Coto De Caza, California. Nancy cooked up over 16 tri tips for the Costco golfers participating in the annual Children’s Miracle Network charity event. Good food was appreciated by all.

Mutual Trading’s Asian Stick Rice placed in Costco. Innovative Mutual Trading item, Asian Sticky Rice, is placed in Costco. This item was demoed with S&B Curry and introduced a great curry dish available in 2 minutes.

Results goes to Japan. Mutual Trading Company hosted a trip to Japan. Peter Burke traveled with Toshio Ueno to meet with Mutual's Tokyo office. While there we visited the Japan FoodEx and Costco. Highlights of the trip were a visit to Tsukji, Tokyo's fish market (the world's largest and certainly the busiest); and, learning the art of making sushi knives from master artist, Mr. Hirano.

World Championship Chili Cook-Off Las Vegas, Nevada - 35th International Chili Society

We love staying close to the key opinion leaders in our categories but this one is exceptionally fun because we love chili! Skip Cooley and Dionne Cooley, an associate of Results and Castleberry Snows Brands, both qualified for the World Championship again in 2004. Dionne won the World Salsa Championships at this event in 2003 and was defending her title. Dionne was introduced to President George Bush Sr. when she won the Maine Cook-Off this year. Dave Melbourne and Peter Sowerika from Castleberry’s joined the Cattle Drive Results Team to Judge the Championships.
